For example you might want to study daughters of a certain group of bulls with a minimum of 25,000 lbs of milk in a 305 day record. You will also be able to receive either the top 100, 200 or 1000 cows, sorted however you choose. Once you have set your search and sort criteria you will be given the opportunity of either looking at the list online or you may download the file in ascii delimited format and use the data on your own computer. State Locator Lists are a great way to find out how your cows compare to others in the area, based on their Cow Type-Production Index (CTPI). Each State Locator List contains cows from a given state on the National Locator List; for example, all cows from Ohio on the National Locator List. The National Locator List contains the breed’s top 5000 CTPI cows. The printed Locator List is published twice each year, following calculation of new genetic indexes in February and August. Lists give cow PTAs, lactation, and classification records for each cow. Sire and maternal grandsire are also included.The owner’s complete name and address, phone number and DHIA number are listed as well. Cows are sorted by state. Owners are sorted by zip code within state, then alphabetically within zip code. Locator Lists are ideal for marketing, advertising and satisfying your curiosity! |
