Complete performance, genetic and identity information is shown on an Official Holstein Pedigree -- production records, classification scores, type-production indexes, predicted transmitting abilities for production and type, and recognitions.

*The Holstein Association has three pedigree services available that allow you to set the criteria to initiate a pedigree at three key times in an animal’s life.

ID pedigrees: Save $2.50 per pedigree if you are enrolled in this option. For example, pedigrees can be generated on all of your P9 heifers from cows that produced over 100,000 lbs.

Lactation update pedigrees: You can also save with this option. Pedigrees are only $3.00 your first year and $4.00 each after that. Again you choose the criteria, such as cows that produce over 20,000 lbs. and have a Final Score above 83.

Classification update pedigrees: For example, get pedigrees on all the animals that score 87 and above and still receive $1.00 off the regular pedigree price of $5.00.

In order to take advantage of the Lactation Update Pedigrees and Classification Update Pedigrees, customers must be enrolled in TriStar or use the Classification program.
