How to format and print Pedigrees retrieved in a text file using a MS WORD macro

To create your macro in Microsoft word, you need to do the following:

Open a new document

Select: Tools; Macro; Record; (name it: PEDFIX) OK

Select: Edit; Select All

Select: File; Page Set-Up;
set margins: Top - .5, Bottom - .6, Left and Right - .4 OK
(Note: Margins changed June 16, 2005)

Select: Format; Font; Choose Courrier New/Regular/Size 9 OK

Select: Format; Paragraph; Spacing (line) at .9 OK

Click on Stop Recording

Close file without saving

Now:

Open your downloaded pedigree file

Then select: Tools; Macro, Macros, Run
