The Mini-Round Tag

The
Mini-Round tag, used in combination with a Maxi or Large Holstein
ID Tag, is an approved method of official ID. Mini-Round tags are
complete with a unique American ID number as well as a herd management
number. One Mini-Round tag is put in the animal’s ear at birth
or shortly after as an initial ID. Breeders need to keep a supply
of these on hand so that the tags are ready to use each time a calf
is born.
The Mini-Round tag offers an excellent supplemental
ID for your animals. It has high retention, and it contains all
the valuable information you need in case an animal’s visible
tag is lost. Holstein ID Tags, including the Customized Tags, together
with the Mini-Round tags, offer an ideal ID system.
